The Tata Nano will be launched in Jamaica this month (December, 2012) as the Indian based automaker has recently announced.

TATA has big plans for the cheapest car in the world, the Nano, and after going on sale in a few markets across Asia, the model is getting ready to be redesigned in order to sell in the United States and in Europe too, as the chairman of TATA Group has announced a couple of months ago. But before the Tata Nano will be redesigned in order to comply with the US and European safety standards, the model will be launched in Jamaica this month.

More details on the Jamaican TATA Nano will be announced close to its debut but as a quick reminder, the 2012 model has been revealed a year ago and in India is available in three trim levels, the Standard, the CS and the LX.

The Nano is powered by a 624 cc engine which is producing a total output of 38 HP. Amongst its goodies, we can talk about the AC with heating, which is optional, the 12V socket, front power windows, central locking, cup holder, electronic trip meters, full wheel covers or fog lamps.
