Infiniti announced US prices for the new, redesigned, longer wheelbase 2016 QX50 luxury crossover, which goes on sale in this month at Infiniti retailers nationwide. Pricing begins at $34,450 for the rear-wheel drive QX50 and $35,850 for the all-wheel drive QX50.

For 2016, the QX50 includes more than $1,700 worth of added standard features at a more accessible price when compared to the 2015 QX50, along with very attractive value for the high-content option packages.

The Premium Package, for example, is priced at $500 and includes a Bose 11-speaker Premium Audio system, advanced Climate Control System, Maple interior accents, aluminum roof rails and much more. The overall improved value of the well-equipped Premium Package model is approximately $4,500 (RWD), positioning the new QX50 in the heart of the luxury crossover segment.

For 2016, the QX50 wheelbase has been extended by 3.2 inches and overall length has increased 4.5 inches - resulting in 8.3 cubic feet of additional interior volume. Most of the increase in interior space can be felt in the second row. Rear seat legroom grows by 4.3 inches and rear knee room is boosted by 3.9 inches.

Along with increased roominess, the 2016 Infiniti QX50 features a revised exterior, which borrows design cues from other recent Infiniti models. In addition, ride height has been increased by 0.8 inches for a more SUV-like appearance. The exterior look is further refined by a new design for the available 19-inch wheels. Standard content has also been increased; a moonroof is now included on all grade levels, as are heated seats. A new Hagane Blue exterior color is also now offered.

Optional equipment packages have been revised for 2016, with a new Premium Plus Package added to the previously available Premium, Deluxe Touring and Technology packages.
